Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a Mosquito Control Technician to perform nighttime application of insecticides using truck-mounted ULV equipment and to enter data into monitoring systems. The role includes ensuring accurate delivery of materials and performing related maintenance and duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of insecticides, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of insecticides preferred.
• Experience with spreadsheets and word processing; strong record-keeping.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to obtain Noncommercial Pesticide Applicator License within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Apply insecticides by driving truck-mounted ULV spray equipment at night.
• Enter data into ULV monitoring systems.
• Perform control measures to adult mosquitoes and larvae.
• Monitor environmental and mechanical conditions to ensure accurate delivery of material.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and other duties as assigned.
