Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with interventional procedures. The role includes handling adult to pediatric cases, documentation, and collaboration with the radiology team.

The position requires ARDMS/AMA-aligned training, BLS, and potential on-call responsibilities. Work is onsite at WAYNE MED with a night schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Ultrasound Technology training in a school approved by the AMA and/or ARDMS.
• Two years of formal Radiologic Technology training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates Ultrasound equipment per departmental protocol.
• Performs ultrasound procedures according to provider orders and documents history and consent forms.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and ensures image quality with proper parameters.
• Maintains documentation and patient identification on images.
• Collaborates with Radiologists during procedures and biopsies.
