Job summary

Shaw Industries is hiring a Tufting Maintenance Technician B/C/D for 3rd Shift at Plant T1 in Adairsville, GA. The role focuses on keeping production equipment safe, reliable, and efficient, with hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

You'll collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams, mentor entry-level technicians (Levels C & D), and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety standards such as LOTO and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of LOTO, confined space entry, PPE usage, hot work procedures, PIT, fall protection, hoisting and rigging.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities (steam, air, water).
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and reduced downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues impacting safety, quality, and production efficiency.
• Mentor and support the development of entry-level technicians (Levels C & D).
• Partner with senior technicians on complex tasks, installations, and overhauls.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
