Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Night Shift Shipping Driver for the Lufkin Plant to transport trailers to and from the shipping docks and storage yard. The role requires ensuring trailer temperature control and adherence to safety and biosecurity policies while supporting production teams.

Responsibilities include safe operation, regular inspections, and coordination with supervisors to meet daily shipping needs. The company provides benefits after probation and opportunities for career development

Qualifications

12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
Positive drug or alcohol test in the previous 5 years disqualifies.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

Operate shipping trucks safely and efficiently.
Conduct equipment inspections and report issues.
Maintain product quality and integrity during transport.
Communicate with associates, maintenance staff, and supervisors about trailer and storage lot conditions.
Keep trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
Transport each trailer as directed.
Follow housekeeping schedules and use PPE as required.
Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
