Job summary
American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a night shift RN for a Med/Surg-Oncology/Telemetry unit in Wisconsin. Requires at least 1 year of acute care experience and comfort titrating drips on a busy telemetry-enabled floor.
Active WI or compact RN license and BLS from AHA are mandatory; prior travel experience is a plus. Unit features 27 beds with 1:4–5 days/evenings and 1:6 nights. 1900–0730 shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
Qualifications
- Active WI or compact RN license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
- Comfort titrating drips and managing complex patients
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Not accepting travel pairs or candidates applying as part of a pair
Responsibilities
- Provide care on a Med/Surg-Oncology/Telemetry unit.
- Handle nurse:patient ratios up to 1:4–5 days/evenings and 1:6 nights.
- Titrate drips (insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, octreotide) and manage transfusions.
- Float within med-surg as needed; no oncology chemotherapy required.
- Utilize Cerner EMR; transitioning to Epic.
- Night shift 19:00–07:30 with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
