Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment in Mississippi. Must hold an MS or Compact RN license and have Cerner experience. Position requires 2+ years of ED experience and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIHSS certifications that do not expire within 30 days.

Night shifts run 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 13-week assignment. Local candidates will not be considered; must reside more than 50 miles away. RTO requests must be under 1 week.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MS or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept experience.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department care in a hospital setting.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• 13-week travel assignment.
• Works every other weekend.
• Holiday rotation may be required.
• Uses Cerner EMR for documentation.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a variety of patient cases and acuities.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not considered.
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week.
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position.
