Job summary

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Repair Technician to support third-shift production at the GM Flint Assembly Plant. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair assembly tools used throughout the manufacturing process.

Respond to tooling issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs to minimize downtime. Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, detail-oriented communication, and ability to work with production staff are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience with electrical, pneumatic, and/or DC-powered tooling in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to document repairs in computerized systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work third shift and six days per week.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to tooling breakdowns and production-line issues.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and DC-powered tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine root causes.
• Collaborate with line operators and plant supervisors to resolve issues.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the tooling management system.
• Track tooling history, shipping status, and calibration processes.
• Maintain accurate records and tool availability for production.
• Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
