Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Provide your own tool set.
• Proven experience in tool and die making, stamping dies.
• Proficiency with manual machining tools and basic CNC.
• Welding skills in TIG, MIG and ARC; heat treating and nitrogen springs knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting under production pressure.
• Crane and forklift certifications or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of stamping dies and related equipment.
• Train apprentices in a four-year program and delegate duties.
• Read and interpret technical prints; use precision measuring tools.
• Machine parts with manual mills, lathes, grinders, drills and saws.
• Apply basic knowledge of 2- and 3-axis CNC mills.
• Weld (TIG, MIG, ARC) and perform heat treating; rebuild nitrogen springs.
• Set up dies on presses; troubleshoot during production breakdowns.
• Work in small or awkward positions; operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
