Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation is seeking a Terrain Park Groomer to maintain and groom all terrain parks nightly in coordination with the winter plan and day-crew communications. The role focuses on guest safety and enjoyment, requiring safe operation of grooming equipment and effective team leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience, plus ability to operate a snow cat and assist with park feature construction and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Experience operating grooming equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate grooming equipment.
• Construct and maintain terrain park features using a snow cat.
• Groom terrain parks nightly.
• Supervise night-time hand crew during builds.
• Coordinate maintenance with the winter plan and end-of-day communications.
• Assist in digging out and moving jib features with night-time park rangers.
• Motivate and direct day crews’ workload during night builds.
• Communicate grooming results to lead groomer, manager or supervisors.
• Fill out grooming forms nightly (mountain trail checklist and nightly reports).
• Contribute to team effort including safety meetings and maintaining a positive attitude.
