Job summary

Ski Utah is hiring a Terrain Park Operator to manage winter/nightly park building and summer trail work at our mountain resort. You will operate heavy equipment, perform maintenance, and coordinate with day staff on nightly plans.

The role requires adaptability to year-round duties, from blading and tilling to feature construction, with safety and reliability on the hill as a priority. Valid driver's license and readiness for outdoor work are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment on terrain or ski parks.
• Ability to problem solve on the hill and work independently.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication via two-way radios.

Responsibilities

• Nightly grooming of terrain parks.
• Maintain features that day staff could not maintain.
• Install and rebuild terrain park features.
• Report changes or tests to the supervisor.
• Assist with trail building and grooming of ski trails.
• Vehicle inspections, logbook, and report issues.
• Keep vehicles clean and clutter-free.
• Report safety problems to the supervisor.
• Operate a mini excavator for construction and maintenance.
• Cut new trails and assist with layout and development.
• Maintain and repair trails.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Refurbish, repair, and construct terrain park features.
