Job summary

Barnabas Health Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver perioperative and postoperative care for surgical patients. The APP will collaborate with the attending physician and operate at the full scope of licensure with autonomy under supervision as needed.

The role requires NP/PA certification, NJ RN license, CDS/DEA, and BLS/ACLS, with acute care experience preferred. Night shifts, per diem, and flexible scheduling are available.

Qualifications

• Current APN certification and NJ RN license required.
• CDS and DEA credentials required.
• BLS/ACLS current; RNFA if available or surgical NP certification with built-in assist.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physicals for surgical procedures.
• Order and interpret labs, radiology and tests for the surgical team.
• Provide perioperative/postoperative care and inpatient rounds.
• Assist in the OR and coordinate care with the team.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Discharge patients in collaboration with the attending surgeon.
