Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Recommend grocery items to customers and inform about specials.
• Check product quality, review dates, and take action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise and ensure fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and logs.
• Enforce safety procedures and notify management of hazards.
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks and theft/fraud.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
