Job summary

Advocate Health's Sterile Processing Services in Libertyville, IL is hiring for a full-time night-shift position within the decontamination and packaging team. The role involves maintaining instrument sterile processing, operating sterilizers, and ensuring safety and quality standards across all tasks.

Responsibilities include decontamination, assembly of instrument sets, inventory control, and timely handling of code carts.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• One year experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate and follow directions; good human relations; basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of instruments and equipment.
• Performance of assembly/packaging/wrapping.
• Performance of all equipment in Sterile Processing (steam sterilizers, recorders, etc).
• Performance of inventory/storage/distribution functions.
• Exchange and delivery of code blue case carts.
• Participates in quality improvement activities within the department.
• Demonstrates physical ability to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing.
