The Supervisory Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) at the West Haven VA Medical Center is a full-time position working Sunday through Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, within the Sterile Processing Service.

You will supervise staff, manage EITS tracking, coordination with clinical customers, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes training, performance monitoring, and process improvement to support patient care.

Competenze

• Recent supervisory experience in sterile processing.
• 3–5 years of sterile processing service experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of specialty instrumentation.

Mansioni

• Plan, direct, and oversee the work of MST staff.
• Manage attendance, leave, schedules; coordinate with unions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements in SPS.
• Oversee EITS data integrity, reporting, and instrument tracking.
• Identify training needs and support staff development.
• Occasional work on alternate tours, weekends, holidays.
