Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II for the night shift in Birmingham, AL. You will prepare and assemble surgical instruments, ensure strict sterilization standards, and support the sterile processing team with training and quality checks.

The role requires 2–4 years of sterile processing experience and credentials such as CRCST or CSPDT. You’ll work with a collaborative team, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of sterile processing experience.
• Knowledge of decontamination, packaging and sterilization processes.
• Ability to follow protocols and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical and surgical supplies and equipment.
• Monitor and document sterilization indicators and results.
• Operate sterilization and decontamination equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support process improvements.
• Maintain inventory logs and ensure proper utilization and expiration tracking.
