Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Specimen Processing Specialist for the Baltimore, MD area. This onsite contract role supports the Specimen Processing Department with data entry and lab workflows, including A-station, presort, and specimen transport to the laboratory.

The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance with safety and test-ordering regulations, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. HS diploma required; laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge is helpful; hospital lab experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimen processing and related workflows (A-station, presort, imaging, microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting).
• Enter data accurately and timely; maintain organized work area.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of specimens to the laboratory.
• Operate in a production, biohazard environment with safety and compliance practices.
