Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Machine Operator - Sortation for the Connersville, IN facility. This role operates automated sortation equipment, monitors performance, and supports production goals on a night shift.

Starting wage is $23.25–$26.76 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour night differential. The position requires safety compliance, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months to four years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, recycling, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.
• Experience operating sortation, material handling, or other automated processing equipment preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening are required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sortation equipment, including conveyors, optical sorters, shredders, metal separators, and screening systems.
• Adjust machine settings to maximize efficiency, throughput, and material quality.
• Follow production schedules and maintain consistent material flow.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs.
