Job summary

Oxley Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst – Tier 2 to monitor real-time alerts, triage incidents, and coordinate rapid responses across cross-functional teams at the Hines, IL location. The role emphasizes strong incident handling, documentation, and continuous improvement of defenses.

You will work with SIEM/EDR, IDS/IPS, and SOAR tools, collaborating with forensics, threat intel, IT, and network teams to safeguard VA assets and ensure compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience supporting incident response in an enterprise SOC.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology or related field; certifications listed.
• Proficient with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Real-time monitoring and triage of security alerts in SIEM/EDR.
• Determine false positives and escalate as needed.
• Lead and participate in incident investigation and resolution.
• Analyze attack patterns and recommend remediation.
• Document incident response activities thoroughly.
• Collaborate to maintain incident response playbooks.
• Communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
• Tune alerts to improve SOC efficiency.
• Support SOAR workflows for containment and remediation.
