Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Slitter Operator for our Windsor, CT facility to set up and operate slitters converting jumbo rolls of adhesive products into smaller rolls. You will load jumbo onto unwind, adjust machine components for the product, slitter and rewind continuous strips onto cores.

Responsibilities include inspection of the web during slitting, booking finished product, understanding packaging requirements, and packing with the team to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proven ability to work in a diverse manufacturing environment as part of a team.
• Demonstrate initiative to learn and accept additional responsibility.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Obtains work orders from the supervisor as required.
• Responsible for timely production of quality products according to standards.
• Perform safety checks and inspections prior to start up.
• Load jumbo onto unwind and set up equipment for the product being manufactured.
• Slit, rewind, and label products per standards.
• Inspect finished product for defects and remove scrap.
• Maintain ISO procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
