Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. is seeking a Sit-Down Forklift Operator for 3rd shift (Sunday night to Thursday night, 8:00pm–4:30am) in a non-climate-controlled facility. You will replenish, stock, palletize, and load/unload crates while following the planner’s build schedule.

Qualifications include 1 year of sit-down forklift experience, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, good attendance, and strong English communication. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 35–45 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds on occasion.
• Utilizes basic hand tools.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Stock workstation and assembly line (glass, molding and components).
• Stock banding area (banding, corners, fronts, tops, crates, separators, dunnage).
• Monitor cones to remove finished crates and replenish rows and crates.
• Follow the build schedule as laid out by the planner.
• Ensure workstation and assembly line run efficiently.
• Operate and stack crates with reach truck and forklifts.
• Receive and unload crates from trucks and store in bulk locations.
