Job summary

Empire Packing in Denver is seeking a Night Shipper to join the Shipping department. This hourly role reports to the Shipping Lead/Shipping Supervisor and operates at the Shipping/Receiving Dock.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will operate forklifts, select cases, and build pallets while following GMP and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to work 40 hour work weeks.
• Ability to work in 32°F and below environment.
• Ability to make quick and decisive decisions: good judgment and common sense required.
• Attention to detail.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Professional attitude and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner.
• Use order sheets to accurately select cases of product.
• Build pallets of product according to company standards.
• Load trailers in a safe and organized manner.
• Perform cleaning and general housekeeping tasks each night.
• Perform Letdowns accurately in a timely manner.
• Fill out all paperwork accurately and completely.
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations.
• Communicate inaccuracies with Leads and Supervisors.
• Follow all Empire Packing/Denver Processing policies and procedures.
