Job summary

President Container Group is seeking a full-time Shipping Load Planner for its Middletown, NY area facility on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You will oversee load planning, forklift operations, and routing, ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries and adherence to safety rules.

Responsibilities include supervising dock staff, creating delivery receipts, and communicating issues to the Logistics Manager to optimize schedules and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with basic math and literacy.
• Two years shipping supervisory experience.
• Experience with forklift operation and truck dispatch.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of load planning including forklift operator movement, truck routing, and reconciliation.
• Monitor route time efficacy and cost; monitor loading process for safety and efficiency.
• Supervise and train shipping dock staff and ensure compliance with policies and safety rules.
• Create delivery receipts for loads once confirmed and documented.
• Inform Logistics Manager of issues that affect department or company performance.
