Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Night Shift to ensure accurate outbound orders and proper documentation. You will act as the final quality check before shipments leave the dock, coordinating with the warehouse team to maintain inventory integrity and on-time delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, forklift or pallet jack certification, and familiarity with warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and common computer tools (Excel, Word, email) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outbound orders are accurate with documentation before leaving the dock.
• Conduct final physical checks on staged orders to catch discrepancies.
• Generate and verify bills of lading, packing slips, and delivery confirmations.
• Document shipping exceptions clearly and promptly.
• Maintain accurate outbound activity records in the warehouse management system.
• Flag documentation errors or system discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Return mis-picks, over-pulls, and damaged product to proper locations.
• Report recurring pick errors for root cause review.
• Operate pallet jacks and shipping equipment safely.
• Keep shipping area organized, labeled, and hazard-free.
