Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Shipping Department to ensure accurate outbound orders, staging, and documentation. You will work with the warehouse team to verify orders, labels, and paperwork before they ship, supporting on‑time delivery for customers.

The role emphasizes ownership, attention to detail, and collaboration with counter sales and dispatch to meet priority timelines. Monday–Friday shifts and a starting pay range are outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) preferred.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Pre-employment screening requirements to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Pull, verify, and stage outbound orders accurately — right product, right quantity, right destination, every time.
• Confirm shipping documentation is complete and accurate on every outbound shipment before it leaves the dock.
• Conduct a final physical check on staged orders to catch discrepancies before they become customer problems.
• Ensure will-call orders are staged, labeled, and ready before the customer arrives.
• Coordinate with counter sales and dispatch on priority-flagged or time-critical orders.
