Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license, active throughout employment.
• Valid Virginia security guard license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with resourcefulness and good judgment.
• Ability to read/write detailed reports with attention to grammar and detail.
• Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and manage safety protocols.
• Must be able to render credible testimony in a court of law.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances to ensure visitors, patients and staff comply with policies.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and minimize contraband.
• Minimize patient elopement risks and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Conduct unbiased investigations of abuse, neglect or exploitation when assigned.
• Duties may include testimony in legal proceedings when required.
