Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks a 3rd Shift Security Officer (Wage/Part-Time) at Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute. You will help ensure safety for patients, visitors, and staff while enforcing facility policies and procedures.

The role includes monitoring entrances, reducing contraband, and conducting unbiased investigations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation when assigned, with training and the ability to testify in court if required.

Qualificações

• Experience as a Security Officer in psychiatric healthcare or related settings is preferred.
• Ability to read and write detailed reports with accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor facility entrances and grounds to ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment, minimizing contraband and elopement risks.
• Serve as DI-201 facility investigator for abuse/neglect investigations when assigned.
