Job summary

ProGuard Security Services in California is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the Business Park, Grave Shift. The role is Fri-Sat 22:30–07:00, with an hourly rate of $25.31. You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

You will use access control systems, communicate via radios, and maintain detailed logs. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods and work with a security team and local responders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security guard or related security experience.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive patrol duties.
• Strong oral communication with team, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems and verify identification of individuals entering the premises.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting all areas to detect and deter suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Operate wireless communication devices and radios to maintain constant contact with security team members and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability.
