Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Security Officer to safeguard patients, staff, visitors, and property. You will patrol facilities, monitor surveillance, and respond to security incidents while delivering excellent customer service and enforcing safety policies.

This role supports the new Free Standing ED opening in June/July and requires night shift availability. You will deter unauthorized activity, escort visitors as needed, and coordinate with local responders during emergencies.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the facility to deter and detect unauthorized or suspicious activity.
• Provide assistance to visitors, including directions and escorting as needed.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and inspect property for security risks.
• Investigate and document reports of suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Respond to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues safely.
• Secure property by locking access points after hours and verifying security.
• Direct traffic, enforce parking regulations, and assist with crowd control.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete and maintain incident reports and security logs.
