UPMC is hiring a Full-Time Security Officer (Night Shift) to support the hospital in York. This role emphasizes customer service and safety for staff, patients, and visitors, with priority given to applicants with public safety experience.

Hours are 6:00pm-6:00am, with weekend and holiday rotation required. A $1500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment is available, and all officers wear bulletproof vests as part of the uniform.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to defuse tense situations and maintain composure.

Responsabilidades

• Staff fixed posts to monitor ingress and egress to secured areas.
• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff to maintain a safe environment.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft.
• Respond to and resolve problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances.
• Maintain required certifications and licensing.
• Assist with traffic control and vehicle movement.
• Monitor alarms and respond to events; coordinate with police when needed.
• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to deter crime and document activities.
