Job summary

Apollo High School in Owensboro, Kentucky is seeking a Night Custodian to maintain a clean, safe school environment. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Principal and varies in hours and days based on assignment.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias and facilities; operating cleaning equipment; and monitoring safety and security as part of a district team. Flexible hours may be required for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or progress toward GED as required by State law.
• Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard.
• Knowledge of custodial methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial tasks at assigned school site, including floors, bathrooms and classrooms.
• Clean and disinfect facilities, report hazards and coordinate with maintenance.
• Lock/unlock doors and maintain building security according to guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment and assist with special events as needed.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, to cover events.
