Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Custodial experience: 0-2 years required, 3-5 years preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, building administrators, co-workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily building tasks: vacuuming, trash removal, stocking supplies, sweeping, mopping, floor cleaning, restrooms, and lunch room cleanup; some buildings include laundry.
• Clean spills promptly; follow safety protocols for chemicals and protective equipment.
• Verify evening schedule and print for night staff; maintain safe walkways during winter.
• Assist with opening doors, minor repairs, materials moves; enter tickets for in-depth repairs as needed.
• Assist with custodial supplies inventory, receiving deliveries, organizing workspace; train new staff.
• Complete monthly tasks including preventative maintenance on extinguishers and floor scrubbers.
