Job summary

UFP Industries in Livermore Falls, ME is seeking a Saw Operator I to set up and run a single-blade saw, reading production schedules and selecting the correct materials. You will help maintain quality and safety while following established procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least 3 months of experience using saws or similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a single-blade saw per specifications.
• Read production scheduling sheets to identify materials.
• Feed material and adjust equipment for quality and efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE.
• Record production data and ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist with safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
