Job summary

Potlatchdeltic Ola Mill in Ola, AR is seeking a Saw Filer to maintain filing room equipment and repair saws, knifes, and guides. You will use precision tools and troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical or sawing problems, with an hourly rate of pay of $28.66. This night shift runs 3:00 p.m.

to 11:30 p.m. and includes safety-focused responsibilities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with precision alignment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to attend and complete required training.
• Understanding of proper use of hand tools including precision alignment tools.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of oxygen acetylene torch usage.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Live the Safety Value and lead by example in safety.
• Troubleshoot, align machinery, and maintain mill equipment.
• Take ownership and be accountable for all work performed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain filing room equipment.
• Examine parts for damage using micrometers and gauges.
• Write and understand a work order.
• Perform housekeeping after each job and as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
