Job summary

Thrive Freeze Dry in American Fork, UT, is seeking a dedicated Janitor to ensure cleanliness of production areas, warehouse, and offices within a food manufacturing environment. You will follow SOPs and support QA and sanitation efforts, including third‑party inspections.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 months in a related field, basic math, and strong communication. The position runs night shift: Sunday–Tuesday, with alternating Saturdays, from 6pm to 6am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 months experience in a related field, quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and departments, including reading and interpreting safety rules and procedures.
• Must be able to perform physical and mental work requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily janitorial tasks such as restrooms, breakrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Follow standard work instructions with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
• Follow specific SOPs to complete cleaning tasks.
• Pass cleaning tests and meet all cleaning requirements set by QA, Sanitation, and third-party inspections.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions; test chemical strength as needed.
• Comply with SQF, PCQI, or HACCP rules and regulations.
• Communicate any deficiencies or equipment issues to management.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.
