Job summary

Freshpack is seeking a Sanitation Technician to keep our production environment safe, clean, and hygienic. You will perform daily and deep cleaning of equipment, areas, and facilities following the 7 Steps of Sanitation and GMP/SSOP guidelines.

Responsibilities include equipment disassembly for cleaning, floor and surface maintenance, and periodic shutdown cleaning. Must be able to work 9:30pm–6:00am, Mon–Thu, with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish.
• Ability to work in wet, hot, or cold environments, lift/move equipment, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment using the 7 Steps of Sanitation.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for effective cleaning.
• Clean and maintain floors, drains, walls, and other facility surfaces on a regular schedule.
• Execute scheduled cleaning of coolers, warehouses, and non-production areas.
• Assist with deep cleaning and shutdown cleaning tasks during non-production days or special sanitation events.
• Follow all workplace safety policies, including correct PPE use, lockout/tagout, and chemical handling protocols.
• Adhere to GMPs and SSOPs; participate in safety trainings and audits.
