Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Hart, Michigan is seeking a hands-on Sanitation Employee for the 3rd shift. This full-time role runs 9:30pm–6am Monday–Friday with occasional overtime and pays $21.83 per hour.

You will handle cleaning, operate forklifts safely, follow GMP/HACCP/BRC training, and ensure a clean, safe production environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1–2 years forklift experience preferred, and good math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years forklift experience preferred.
• Basic math and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Use proper Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
• Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times.
• Complete daily forklift inspection.
• Properly use steam / hot water system.
• Properly use product and material-handling pumps.
• Read and understand the English language.
• Tote and barrel dumping.
• Dipping cherries from totes.
• Pumping processing and brine tanks.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training.
• Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE.
• Must pass respiratory fitness test.
