Job summary

Country Pure Foods in Hart, MI is seeking a Sanitor on the 3rd shift to maintain the sanitation of food processing equipment and facilities. This full‑time manual labor role emphasizes strict adherence to GMP, quality standards, and food safety guidelines in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment using Clean in Place / Clean out Place methodology, turning valves to drain machines, spraying and scrubbing surfaces, rinsing, and reporting any

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.
• Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.
• Comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a hi-lo license.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of food processing equipment using CIP/ COP methods.
• Turn valves to drain machines or tanks and disconnect pipes.
• Spray machines, tanks and conveyors with water to remove dirt or other matter.
• Scrub machines, tanks, tables, pans, flumes, tunnels and conveyors and rinse.
• Scrub floors and walls as part of the Master cleaning program.
• Connect hoses and lines to pumps to circulate cleaning solutions.
• Scrub interior of pipes, valves, spigots and meters.
• Mix cleaning solutions and diluted acids.
• Report defective machinery to the immediate supervisor.
