Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Seasonal Safety Specialist for night shift in North Jackson, OH. This role focuses on safety program administration, health and wellness coordination, and on-floor coaching to ensure safe handling and compliance.

You will engage in training, incident tracking, and cooperation with the OHS Manager to implement safety initiatives. The position requires First Aid/CPR/AED certification, OSHA knowledge, and a high school diploma with 3–5 years in warehouse safety.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR/AED certification and ability to act as a First Aid Responder.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and safety standards for warehouse/distribution.
• Experience delivering safety training and coordinating CRG meetings.
• Accurate data entry and tracking in safety/EHS systems.
• Observing on-floor safety, coaching, and incident investigations.
• Proficient use of Word and Excel; able to manage administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the safety program and stock supplies.
• Serve as First Aid Responder for work-related and non-work incidents.
• Coordinate Health Safety and Wellness CRG meetings and lead when needed.
• Conduct required safety trainings per OHS manager.
• Develop safety training programs with the OHS manager.
• Enter training, inspections and accident data into the EHS platform.
• Inspect monthly as Macy's policy requires and assist with facility reviews.
• Investigate accidents and follow up on recommendations with departments.
• Support safety initiatives and on-floor coaching of safe work practices.
• Collaborate with OHS Manager to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain dependable attendance and adapt to changing safety needs.
