Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Night Shift Safety Specialist for our Dudley, NC Lumber Mill. You will perform pre-task checks, develop safety SOPs, and audit lockout procedures to maintain a safe industrial environment during a 10-hour night shift.

The role requires at least 1 year of safety experience in manufacturing, knowledge of OSHA 1910, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in conditions with dust and noise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of safety experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 regulations and related safety standards.
• Associates degree or higher in Safety or related field or Certifications may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-task checks and processes.
• Create and audit current safety SOPs.
• Develop and audit lockout procedures.
• Work in a non-climate controlled industrial environment, lifting up to 50 lbs for up to 12 hours.
