Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit health system serving southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is seeking a Safety Sitter for night shift at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

This role involves rounds, patient observation, and ensuring safety for high-risk patients, with a schedule of 32 hours per week. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification within six months, and healthcare-related training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare training preferred.
• CPR certification required within six months.
• Experience in patient care preferred; one year equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills including medical programs.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or have a signed exemption.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform rounds and observation of patients at risk for suicide or high risk of injury.
• Maintain safety protocols and document observations as assigned.
