Job summary

Covenant Health's Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge in East Tennessee is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift, 72 hours per pay period. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for experienced RRTs to join a hospital with extensive specialties and a commitment to patient safety.

The role provides direct patient care, ventilator management, and collaboration with physicians and nurses. Candidates must have an RRT credential and Tennessee licensure, with BLS on file.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or RT diploma in respiratory therapy.
• Current Tennessee RT license and NBRC RRT credential.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients with respiratory insufficiency.
• Demonstrate competency in ventilation, CPAP and BiPAP.
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and committees.
• Assist orientation and training of new staff and students.
• Maintain and inventory RT equipment and supplies.
