Qualifications

• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the practicing state.
• NBRC certification and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care per physician orders.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests and arterial blood gases.
• Administer medications safely and evaluate responses.
• Communicate patient status with physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation per departmental standards.
• Promote patient education and wellness for patients and families.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• May float to other departments as needed and be on-call during shifts.
