Job summary

Destro AI is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to keep robotic fleets running at a live customer site in Sumner, WA. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain systems on the warehouse floor, often working nights, and you’ll train site staff who operate next to our robots.

You will deploy and commission new deployments, validate performance against criteria, monitor the fleet, and escalate issues with clear diagnostics to the engineering team. This is a true field role with significant ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with robotics, automation, or similar electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills across multiple layers.
• Willingness to work night shifts in a warehouse environment.
• Clear communicator who can explain issues to both warehouse staff and engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to train others and maintain safety-first practices.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission on-site robotic systems, including setup and config.
• Run tests, validate performance, and document deviations for go-live readiness.
• Monitor fleet dashboards, respond to exceptions, and triage issues quickly.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage spare parts inventory.
• Train warehouse associates and onboard new technicians as needed.
• Escalate unresolved issues with detailed diagnostics to engineering
