Job summary

Destro AI is hiring a hands-on robotics field technician for a live customer facility in Sumner, WA. You will keep robots running, diagnose and repair issues, deploy and commission new systems, train warehouse staff, and act as the eyes and ears of the engineering team in a real operation.

This is not a desk job; you will work nights on the warehouse floor, growing with the deployment and training future technicians as the site expands.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on technical experience with robotics, automation, material handling equipment, or comparable electromechanical systems.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting instincts across mechanical, electrical, network, and software layers.
Comfortable working independently on a night shift, often as the only technical person on site.
Able to stay calm and methodical when production is down and people are waiting on you.
Clear communicator who can explain a technical issue to a warehouse associate and to a software engineer.

Responsibilities

Deploy and commission on-site robotic systems — unboxing, assembly, charging infrastructure, network setup, and configuration.
Support site mapping, zone setup, and workflow configuration for new deployments.
Execute acceptance testing and validate systems before go-live.
Run functional, integration, and end-to-end tests on robots and the MothershipOS platform.
Monitor the robot fleet through the dashboard and respond to exceptions in real time.
