Job summary

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Night Shift at our Christiana Hospital on the 3D Transitional Stepdown Unit. Weekend and Holidays - per department guidelines.

The TMU/3D team provides care for acutely ill adults with a respiratory focus, collaborating with a wide interdisciplinary team. Candidates should have BSN, or ADN with a commitment to complete BSN within 3 years, plus at least one year of relevant experience and BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• ADN candidates with a 3-year BSN completion commitment.
• Minimum one year of experience (acute or sub-acute preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver individualized adult patient care with a respiratory focus.
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, pharmacy, and physicians.
• Ventilator care, trach care, suctioning, wound care.
• Provide patient and family education to support outcomes.
• Monitor patients and respond to emergencies; transition to appropriate care levels.
