Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments based on patient interviews, examinations, and observations.
• Develop goal-oriented care plans with patient and family involvement.
• Implement nursing actions per care plans and hospital procedures.
• Demonstrate technical skills reflecting professional nursing knowledge and judgment.
• Coordinate patient care activities including teaching, rounding, and discharge planning.
• Provide professional nursing care to surgical stepdown patients, including IV therapy and medication administration.
• Manage care for patients on telemetry, including IV antiarrhythmic drug administration and EKG interpretation.
