Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med surg General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South in Missouri. The role supports night shift operations from 7:00am to 7:00pm, with a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week, and includes a sign-on bonus for new graduates and experienced RNs.

The RN will apply nursing processes, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
