Job summary

Quorum Health Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Care Unit on the night shift at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. The role supports post-operative patient care, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and education.

This on-site position offers 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a competitive benefits package. Applicants should hold Oregon RN licensure, current BLS, and have preferred experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Oregon.
• Current BLS certification.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and surgical procedure.
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and other clinical parameters throughout the surgical process.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including pre-operative meds and post-operative pain management.
• Manage post-operative complications such as nausea, pain, bleeding, and vital sign instability.
• Provide patient education regarding post-operative care instructions and wound management.
• Maintain clear communication with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Report any patient concerns or changes in condition promptly.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
