Job summary

CoxHealth South is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9E Medical-Surgical unit, a 30-bed adult med/surg area with GI/GU post-surgical focus. The role supports a team-oriented environment with advanced technology including a virtual nursing program.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and patient education. Night shift 7p-7a, 36 hours weekly, with opportunities for continuing education and advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in Missouri; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of patients with medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vitals, document and educate patients and families.
• Provide patient/family support and education; collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
