Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage patient care in the Surgical department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO. The nurse will assess conditions, administer meds, monitor vitals, document care, and educate patients and families.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, MO RN license, BLS within 90 days, and possess strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills to handle diverse patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• MO RN license required; BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and provide ongoing care.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Change dressings and document care accurately.
• Provide patients and families with support and education.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge to care for diverse patient groups.
